This clipping is from the St. Catharines Standard for Monday, August 15, 1955. The reporter got a little carried away. Patrol cooking was not done over camp fires. This was the first World Jamboree where charcoal burners were used exclusively. And we didn't have liquid starter to get it going; we saved the waxed cardboard milk cartons as kindling.
