Israel Valderama biked from Colombia

Israel Valderama was a 20 year-old Scout from Colombia in South America. He biked 25,000 km in 9.5 months to attend WJ'55. He used six bikes, two of which are at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum. Below is a video about the trip and a photo of one of his bikes. Years later, Valderama wrote a memoir about the trip, Boundless Hope: A Boy Scout's Journey of Discovery.
